HAIL MARY THE QUEEN CHILDREN'S CHOIR
In 1999, the
Hail Mary the Queen Children’s Choir was conceived by its founders, Ulan and
Dinna Sarmiento, primarily as a parish choir at the Immaculate Conception
Cathedral in Quezon City. In 2001, they
turned trans-parochial when they became part of the music ministry of the Mary
the Queen Parish in Greenhills and Christ the King Parish in Greenmeadows in
2004. Today, the choir continues to serve these
parishes, grounded on its core values of
excellence, commitment, discipline, service and prayer.

Theresa Vizconde-Roldan and Music Director, Jude Roldan, the choir has evolved
into a world class concert chorale. Spanning sixteen years, HMtQCC lays claim to
many firsts in their choir story: the
first Filipino Champion in the Bremen Choir Olympic in Germany in 2004, the
First Children’s Choir of the World in the 67th Llangollen
International Musical Eisteddfod in North Wales, United Kingdom in 2013. In
June 2015, they were the first Asian choir to be invited at the Pacific
International Choral Festivals in Eugene, Oregon, USA. They were also the featured
artist at the Oregon Bach Festival On the House concert held at the prestigious
commitment to service started when several organizations asked their help in
their fund-raising projects or for artistic exhibition.They performed for diplomatic gatherings at
and rendered concert series in the Greater Los Angeles, USA in 2005, 2007, 2011
and 2015. They also performed at
Disneyland in 2007, 2011 and 2015. In
January 2015, the choir sang for Pope Francis during his encounter with the
youth and recorded together with Ms. Jamie Rivera, “We are All God’s Children”,
the official theme song for the Papal Visit.
In recognition of their multi-awards, they received the Ani ng Dangal from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts in 2009, 2013 and 2014. Last June 2015, the honourable mayor of Eugene, Oregon, Kitty Piercy proclaimed June 24, 2015 as the Hail Mary the Queen Children’s Choir Day in honor of their exemplary feat.
To this day, their resounding call, “Our song, Our prayer” permeates their every performance.
